Feminisms of Color in Germany

- 20 Years Ago and Today

FemoCo2013 sees itself in the tradition of two conferences that took place 20 years ago: one, the “Meeting of/for Ethnic and African-German Minorities” in Bremen, in 1990, and the other,“Second National Conference of and for Immigrant, Black German, Jewish and Women Living in Exile” , which took place in Berlin, in 1991.The title of this conference, FemoCo2013, shows that much has change since the firstconferences. During the preparation for the FemoCo2013 conference, it became clear that the frameworks under which we work are very different. We would like to have an conversation around these changes, not only with the panelists, but with everyone in attendance.
